OBTAINING OF A VETERINARY PRODUCT FOR TREATMENT AND PROPHYLAXIS OF RICKETS

Abstract. The experimental research aimed to: a) elaborate the formula to prepare an antirachitic nutritional supplement based on bees products; b) elaborate the technology for producing such a supplement, ensuring raw materials homogeneity, physical-chemical and microbiological stability of the final product, simple administration, minimal side effects and last but not least a low cost; c) determining the quality parameters of the antirachitic product intended for pets use.
Five variants were considered, and for determining their quality (in powder of in compressed tablet form) the chemical composition of the raw materials used in the formula was regarded. Thus, the characteristic parameters for the antirachitic product were: organoleptic properties: aspect, consistence, colour, taste, smell; physical and chemical properties: moisture, protein content, lipids, ash – mineral elements, propolis content, sugar content expressed as inverted sugar, compressed tablet weight (g/compressed tablet).
